A dreamer, traveler, painter, and tattoo artist, I am Myke Magyck, and I paint to portray visions, share stories, and empower lives. I grew up traveling and spent a few years in France and England as a youth. I’ve always had an innate love for art. Visiting French museums rich in renaissance art with family helped cultivate this passion and make it a career.
I was brought to Lafayette, Louisiana, in 1984 by Jacci Gresham to work in her tattoo studio at the Thruway and 8th Street . Next up, I moved to Leesville/Ft Polk to continue the practice. I spent years tattooing around the country, yet the beauty, food, and culture ultimately brought me back home.
Being in love with picturesque landscapes around the city, I now call Lafayette home. In a journey of a little under four decades, I have worked, learned, and collaborated with several artists.
I am a certified Bob Ross Instructor passionate about sharing my work and knowledge to help other artists create masterpieces. I genuinely admire old wet-on-wet techniques, but I particularly like how Bob Ross goes about his art. His methods are super-easy for beginners to learn, practice, and use.
When I’m not painting I tattoo and use my camera to seek out the treasures of our area. I love all things nature and love exploring the world of art.I hope you enjoy the products and art on display. I am here to help you discover the artist within yourself.
